Alex Bridge
Multi-disciplinary Artist

Alex has been involved in the Arts (visual arts, community arts, art education, theatre and music) as an artist and a performer since the 1980’s. She graduated from Queensland College of Art, Griffith University in 1996, completing a BA of Visual Arts in Fine Art, with major areas of printmaking and sculpture.

Alex has since worked across several mediums including painting, mixed media, assemblage, collage, encaustic, polymer clay, papier-mâché, textiles and large-scale cane and paper sculptures.

Her style is eclectic, ranging from abstraction through to illustration, but it is all influenced by an enduring love of the natural world – animals, plants, the land and the sky; it is also inspired by a lifelong interest in the arcane mysteries of the ancient world – primitive human art, spirituality and beliefs.
